About Me

Emmanuel Caicedo (gender pronouns: he, him, el) is a veteran campaigner, organizer and strategist with decades of experience winning campaigns and building power at some the premier organizations in the progressive movement space. He has a proven record of developing, executing and winning policy-focused, people-powered campaigns at the local, state and national levels. Emmanuel has experience across a wide range of policy areas, most focused on economic justice, racial justice and democracy. He is a generalist with a penchant for diving into the weeds as required.

Emmanuel is passionate about building power with and for impacted Black and Brown communities to advance, win and implement government policies that address systemic inequalities and strengthen our democracy. He is a bridge builder, adept at interfacing and connecting with grassroots communities, funders, policy experts and government officials.

His lived experiences as an Afro-Latine, first-generation college graduate and first-generation immigrant from Colombia reared in a working-class Black community in Brooklyn, New York inform his worldview and commitment to racial, gender, economic and climate justice. These days, he lives in a leafy Washington D.C. neighborhood with his partner and their two children.
